The trimethoprim phenyl-propanol-disulphonate sodium is a potentiator of sulphonamide, which after oral ingestion is completely and rapidly absorbed within 1 to 5 hours. Maximum serum levels are reached 2 to 4 hours after oral ingestion. Trimethoprim phenyl-propanol-disulphonate sodium is widely distributed throughout the body tissues and can be found in the kidney, liver and lungs.
