Potassium Polyacrylamide for use as a pellet binder to improve pellet quality in livestock feed.
The addition of polyacrylamide to the diet may aid in the improvement of water retention in the gut and assist in the prevention of nutrient leaching.

Potassium polyacrylate is known to absorb a significant amount of water and can serve as a pellet binder. The high water retention will improve the preconditioning and gelatinization of starch particles leading to durable pellets. Pelleted diets are widely known both to increase feed intake and to improve performance as compared to mash diets. This could be due to increased nutrient density of the diet, promoting more rapid and efficient eating.
