GENERAL
Water biocide for use in livestock drinking water to assist in preventing pathogenic Enterobacteria such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Campylobacter.

The active ingredient, Sodium Chlorate, functions by converting the chlorate ion to chlorite by means of the nitrate reductase pathway, innate to Enterobacteria. Chlorite is toxic to pathogenic bacteria in this group.
